![]() ![]() I just want to click on that Thief 2 icon on my desktop or taskbar to continue playing.Įmob78: Every time this question is asked here, a small child in Africa succumbs to starvation. I just don't feel there is enough incentive for me to run a client in order to run single-player games (for either GOG or Steam), as I don't care about the additional achievements or friends lists. I'll probably keep favoring the installer versions of GOG games over the Galaxy versions. Optional auto-update is nice for online multiplayer games and very new single-player games receiving lots of updates all the time, but the latter one doesn't normally apply to me as I tend to play my games looooooong after their initial release date, even if I bought the game when it was still pretty new. I have no real preference with either Steam or Galaxy client at this point. 95% of the time I use Steam just to play TeamFortress 2 online, and 5% of the time to play some Steam-exclusive single-player game (last time was Half-life 2 Episode 2, oh and I also tried out Dark Souls a bit, mainly to test whether it works ok with the Logitech F310 gamepad (yes it does), as someone claimed DS works only with a genuine XBox360 gamepad). I have Steam and I have hundreds of games there (quite many redeemed from HumbleBundles though, just because). What's their selling point, compared to e.g. I've never used Desure, I guess I never saw the point.
